11-18-2008, 12:11 PM
a more spacey brahma.
this might not even be the thing I want to do. :-\
Im still a bit torn between alot of ideas

hey guys i found this:
its a bit unearthly, but its a great start. You can always check the facts on wikip or other places.
IE: acoran ->The supreme Being who really really likes milk
"really really" hehehehe

He or it is the creator, ruler and owner of the pacific ocean. It is also refered to as Anky-Kele.
The crab god is a Chukchi deity. This means that it is a Siberian god, which fits perfectly into the SteamPunk scheme. .... hmm maybe i'll go with this one. It's hard to decide. Thank god we got a couple of months to figure it out. No need to hurry. I'll take this nice and slow.

Cool concepts! I say go for the Spacey Brahma! It looks very unique and cleverly designed.

here is another take. just to try out some different angles.
I have to get some Siberian people in my piece as well. They dress somewhat similar to inuit people. Both to get some scale thing going on, and to actually paint something which is not "just" a pose pic. heheh :]

hey pongstah. thanks for stopping by. yeah I'm still considering that one. I still like it the best, so i might get back to it.
11-18-2008, 06:57 PM
Really like that TokoYoto concept. Looks cool
11-18-2008, 06:58 PM
Cool concept man!
I'm just a bit confused of the angle.. it is leaning very much - intentionally I guess, still a bit too much :P
11-18-2008, 07:27 PM
hahahah yeah the angle is crazy. thanks for the input though. I guess I have to balance my pieces a bit more... literally.
11-18-2008, 07:36 PM
hey! 1st thanks for dropping by.
your images are awesome! i really dig the 2nd last one you uploaded. the composition is really strong. well that and the lighting. go go!
11-18-2008, 09:53 PM
Hahah that angle is crazy. It makes me think the photographer had too much to drink. But really nice sketches. I look forward to seeing this one develop. Good luck.

thanks for the tipps :)
i vote for the spacey brahma too.

I just tossed in some fast colors.
Im gonna change the perspective, so the smoke is going much more down, and i think the ground should go from the middle (ca) of the right side to near the lower left corner instead.
thanks for the feedback. helps deciding.
Not that i might change my mind later, but i'll dev on this Brahma for now.
thanks and good night! :]

well just one tiny update before i go to bed.
sleep tight people!

Hi I like more the one in which the machine its climbing up a mountain the light, the mood, seems more cool to me
11-19-2008, 09:11 AM
i like the new version. But i think, that the background is a little bit do dominant right now. And maybe you should break up the parallel flow of the front arms and the smoke to seperate the foreground and the background a little more (like it was in the first colored version).
After all the spacey brahma is great. Strange. Iconic.:applause:

really like the mood and lighting of the first tokoyoto. It's nice how the light of the fire in the middle breaks the shadow. The second one is more difficult to define for me. Looking forward for the next ones :)
11-27-2008, 09:27 PM
I'm really curious to see more of your project... expecially if you continue with this last one.
About the tokoyoto, it's also very interesting, but this universe more far of me...
Good start and good approach !

everybody thanks. Lemog thanks for the comment. Yeah I'm gonna go with the brahma. But i seem kind of stuck atm. :arteest:

are you still going to finish the brahim or are you going to stick with the animation, which, by the way, is looking very promising:)
01-12-2009, 09:33 PM
is it that time again?
YES! he says!
i got my hands full with a lot of other things, including the video challenge. but i'll try a squeeze this in, if I can manage.

Brahma is one of the four headed gods of hindu religion.
He is in fact one of the major gods of the hindu religion, inspite of the weak following. There is only a couple of temples for worshipping Brahma versus thousands for the other "devas".
Brahma the creator, as he is called, self-borned from a lotus growing in the navel of Vishnu, and later created the eleven Prajapatis who is the fathers of the man.
In this picture Brahma is serching for the beginning of a huge shiva linga (which is a long shape of some sort - often a cylindre kindof thing) - while Vishnu is searching for the end of the linga. Neither found the beginning nor the end. Vishnu told the truth to Shiva, but Brahma lied about it, and Shiva told him that none should ever worship him again.
in short that is... ^_^
