View Full Version : Autodesk Fluid iPhone/iPod Touch app

This app was released a few days ago. It's the 2d core of the Fluids Jos Stam and Duncan Brimstead did for Maya. I haven't been able to try it, but it looks pretty cool.

Heh, it's quite cool. The fluids react to the direction you hold your phone in by changing the gravity and the colour of the fluids.

A bit pointless though. Why did they do this?

wow, the first self-developed Autodesk application in years!

It's funny how the article mentions Autodesk Animator as one of their withstanding achievements, though it was an awesome piece of software for its time :)

I used to have the maya fluids screensaver about 4 years ago ... it was pretty cool back then it must be fun to play with on the Iphone.

Ha, ha...

Struggled with fluids from the get-go, now I'm comfortable with 'em in Maya and messing with Houdini.

Having this on my iphone is a great conversation piece.

I used to have the maya fluids screensaver about 4 years ago ... it was pretty cool yeah the fludis screensaver was cool. the painteffects one was nice too.
