View Full Version : Freeze Rotation Problem

11 November 2008, 09:51 PM

For my rig I have to freeze the rotation of an implicit square in order to pose constrain a null to it. But for some reason, when I try and freeze it, the square just reverts back to it's original orientation... rather than staying stationary and 'zeroing' out the rotational value.

Does anyone have any idea why this is? I've had this problem forever, but worked my way round it, but can't for this one. I am using XSI 6.02.

If I remember, you can't do this. Either use a curve or set a neutral pose on the implicit.

I think you'll have to create a parented null above it, or just a transform group, then pose constrain the null to that null (or pos. constrain to the implicit and rot. constrain to the null/transformgroup).

You simply should activate Constraint Compensation before you apply the pose constraint.
