Here's a model I did using Maya. No name yet...just space girl (1/2).

Here is a top view.

very nice!! But you need to make her look more feminine!! I suggest smoothing the area around the mouth (you added that variation side to the nose, while she is not smiling, and that makes it looks that it's always there, whereas this happens mostly to men) I also suggest fixing the eyebrows (make them more curved) and the eyes, more smooth, more round. Curves usually give strong feminine characteristics.

Yeah...I agree. I actually used Angela Joli for those features (lips and eyebrows), but I found the feature too heavy, so I subdued it a bit. I should have done more subduing or use a more standard type of girl feature.

I love the helmet ... it's a cool design u have there. BUt I agree about the masculine face :) you might want to work more on that.

She sure does look like Angelina Jolie :D
Very nice work on the face
Althou there are pictures where she looks more like a girl ;)
The eyebrows could be a bit softer

I was more concentration on modeling, so I used geometry eyebrows. If I would to texture her, I would first delete the eyebrows, then I would used a plane with eyebrows texture with alpha.:)

A little comment: How about making one of the lenses bigger, so that you get abit of non-uniformity? Kinda like a magnifying lens...

Nice work, I like it when I see a fellow vancouverite posting good work.

Hey! I really love Korgaths' suggestion. That other lens would look pretty cool, although I think she's got quite enough going on her head at the moment....:)
BTW, what's she gonna be? Space racer or sonething like that?
04 April 2002, 05:14 AM
nice work eric, i love the helmet!
04 April 2002, 06:01 AM
Ok…Ok…she has a bit of manly look about her. So here is a more softer look. I bet you…the first girl can kick the second girl ass in any space battle. Korgath…note taken about the lens. The junk around the lens are not placed equally on both lens…I thought this would be enough to give it a non-uniformity. I did gave it the lower lenz the non-uniformity look. Hey Dary!…thanks man. I think your space girl, which is plastered friken’ everywhere beside my ass, can kick both my space girl in any space battle. :)

Sorry...I had problem with the last post. My image was too big. Hope this works!

04 April 2002, 11:32 AM
hehe, now you're talking!! She looks a lot more feminine now, but she's go that dynamic face, which sais I can kick your ass anytime!! Yeah, and a shot with the glasses down would be nice!!

Great modelling...got to go against the grain though here in that I prefer the earlier version (and yes she does look like AJ), because she looks more intruiging to me like that, though I think I prefer the eyes on the lower version. I would be tempted to loose those speculars on the goggles or else spend more time doing maps for them though. MMNNN :)
I'd just like to say that she looks nothing like me... :p ;)
Give here a goatee and mebbe...
Very nice design and modelling - looking forward to seeing more!

looks good, can't wait to see her textured.
do you plan on doin the whole body?
05 May 2002, 07:12 PM
The cheeks seem too chunky from the side view, making her face appear to be very flat. I had the same problem with my model. Other than that, your model looks very good.
05 May 2002, 09:21 PM
Wow great work man! really like the design. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the body.
keep it up!:surprised
