View Full Version : intel Core i7 reviewed

11-03-2008, 05:27 PM
Iintel's next generation of desktop processors have finally been reviewed and they seem like very good news for 3d rendering and anything multi-threaded. Sweet!

Big old list of Core i7 reviews (http://www.dailytech.com/1132008+Daily+Hardware+Reviews++Intel+Core+i7+940+920+and+965+Extreme+Edition/article13347.htm)

Hyperthreading actually seems useful and not a gimmick, memory performance is majorly improved, I can't wait to see what they do with the xeon/server versions.

Having read a your link and other articles, it will be a while before a bigger selection (varied price range) of motherboards get to market.
Being that these are a new pin layout and use DDR3 - The LGA775 / DDR2 solutions will be a bargain for the current release of C2D's :deal:
