Hi, this is the concept for my little project. Some kind of gooie dragon-monster-demon. Probably the final boss of an adventure game. =]
I remade and shaded a concept that a friend of mine did. Thanx Per!

Well, first picture of the model. I just tried to get the right proprtions body/head, harder than you could imagine acctually =]
Now it's almost 1000 tris so i just keep on adding details i guess. Stay tuned for more updates *tjatjing*

Getting all the teeth in there will be cool.
Are you going to separate out some toes, or does he keep the hoof-like foot? Just wondering because the concept sketch doesn't show...

Not much of update i guess. Added som teeth and i have started with the toes. Hopefully i can start with unwrapping UVs tomorrow.

Im done with the UV-mapping *phew* It was my first time so i ran in to some problems. Hopefully i wont make the same mistakes next time =] Its not perfect as it is now but ill fix it later. I also mad a first temp texture, enjoy.

First render with new texturing. Still some work to be done. I figured ill use one 512 for diffuse and another 512 for bump, no bump in this rendering though.
It looks kinda dull right now with the same skintexture all over. I havent really decided what to do yet.. comments or crits please! =]
Oh btw, its 2258 tris right now.

Now im almost done. Just have to see what i have time to do before deadline. I remade the UV-mapping because, as i said, it was my first time and i made some major ****ups =] Next hard step was to learn how to paint muscles. Guess i need some more practise there as well. Any how the mesh is done and it's 2742 tris.

This challenge has been really fun. My firs but definetly not my last one. As seen in the pictures, the final amount of tris is 2742. I guss im going to rig this model and animat it some. I'll keep you updated. Ciao

That texture is really awesome, IMHO. It really makes your model shine. I see a couple of visible seems and some stretching(mainly in the toes), but not bad at all for a first attempt. Maybe the wrinkles could be more aligned to the shape of the body, like wrapping around the legs and stuff instead of all uniform...but now I'm being picky. Good job!:thumbsup:
