View Full Version : Pivot transformation problems

Hi guys.

I have an item which is centered at 0,0,0 (the origin of my 3D space). However the pivot point for this item is miles away and has strange rotation values. Is there a quick way of making the pivot move to the origin and have correct rotation values.

Please see the associated jpeg to see what I mean.

use the action center menu to select the pivot point. origin is an option.

one question i have, is how do you snap a pivot point to a vert on the model?

Just make sure youve got geometry snapping on(foreground) ... I find .. Selection Centre Auto Axis works the best.

also, this is off-topic, but. your flickr animations, theres a ball bouncing with an animated arrow behind it - how did you create that? (what app) ae+c4d?

that was done painfully with Max .. seriously cant wait for proper animation in Modo!! Got a job at the moment that will probably force me to use either Max or Maya .. :argh:
