Hey guys, i just started character animating and here's my first walk cycle. Critique and pointers will be more than appreciated!

Feels very "poppy" like the keys are all flat, I would do a pass at smoothing everything out

I find it quite interesting that he's walking this way :)
ah.. i agree with KyleG, it's poppy, but maybe it's something you wanted to achieve?

His arms are swaying with the legs on the same sides. Switch that up first. A lot of the popping is due to his legs going too straight. They actually stretch for 2 frames. Do some overlapping stuff on the spine and head to get it looser and smoother. Good luck dude!

DONT USE IK HANDS! :twisted:

And add some more forward/back rotation to the spine.

Also, I think the character is leaning too far back! you can get the emo effect you have in mind with much less exaggeration, but by getting the balance and timing right.
