View Full Version : Non-volumetric Rendering Particles
I'm looking to render a cloud with a constant shader, but using the particles color. Seems like it should be simple, but if I use a constant, I can't get the color. Any one know what node will allow me access to the color w/o using the volume-based nodes. I went through all the Sample scenes, but they're all volumetric.

How is your ICE/Redertree setup?
It works here if I assign a constant shader to my Pointcloud and then drive the color with an Attribute node. Only thing I did, is on the Attribute node, I changed "Attribute" from "Use Default Value" to "Color".
But I have a feeling you're talking about some more complicated setup. :/
No... it was that simple. The attributes folder was hiding in plain sight. I guess I expected it to be under particles. Thanks.
