Hi,
i have Vue 6 XStream for Mac. 2 days i am trying to make a compositing with this picture.http://www.kreativmedia.de/street.jpg
I tried to make a shadowcaster. The shadows from the palm trees must be on the street in the scene. I cant found a solution in vue to do that. Can anybody tell me please how can i do that? or is there another solution?

Thank you!

Mayby you could save the render to psd format with several layers and isolate the shadows that way. Than compositing in Photoshop with the street background image.

hi,
thank you. i know the psd solution. in my scene is the grey plane. i made the plane, because without the plane, there are no shadows. when i render that out, the plane is always in the scene and in the psd file.

I just tried it out and it works. You have to render seperate layers and use object masks to isolate the trees from the plane. The shadows are on a seperate layer. Now composite the shadows and the isolated trees ontop of your street image.

I did a quick and dirty render.
