View Full Version : Low Poly Game Environment

Hello all! I just started school at where I'm working on my Masters in Interactive Entertainment via the art track. My first project is in the books and I wanted to share it with you fine folks. The assignment was simple, create an environment with a budget of no more than 1500 tris and no more than 13 128x128 maps. Below you'll find my entry. I came in 4 tris under budget and only used 8 maps. FYI potential employers I am looking for a job/intership coming up in the next year in the video game/film/entertainment industry as an environment artist. :) Comments and crits are very welcome.

nice stuff, you like halo at all? it's reminiscent of that bridge bit in the first game. you're style is similar too.

I'm actually thinking about going to UCF next year. :) I was originally planning on Full Sail, but it's way outside my budget and it seems like a lot of employers don't take their degrees very seriously because it's an accelerated program. How do you like UCF so far? Would you recommend it?
