View Full Version : Distortion and Geometry Tracking in pftrack

Hey, can anyone explain the process of using the distortion and geometry tracking features in pftrack or point to a good tutorial on those subjects? I've gotten myself pretty well versed in all the different features of the program except those two, with which concepts I'm not very familiar with.

Distortion is the lens distortion that is unique to each lens. What helps is a corrective plate shot which we adjust and then apply the same settings to the shot.

As for the geo tracking, Its using 3D objects modelled to scale and then tracking it so that your solve is more accurate. Other times its just creating models from a track and then re-using it to adjust some fine problems.
