Action Adventure 3rd Person. Cinematic FMV, anime style. (Hopefully :insane: )

In the year 2033, 20 years after the magnetic pole shift and resulting “decade of despair” those who could afford to have fled the Earth and headed for space colonies. Those who remained were forced to endure endless battles against vengeful and ruthless armies known “Planet Harvesters”. The most feared of all the “Harvesters” is a group known as the “Gekko Shoki” (Moonlight Demon). No one is sure where the Gekko came from, but for those unlucky enough to have been left behind, it doesn’t really matter. Most of the Earth’s remaining population has either been enslaved, subjected to horrific experimentation or are simply being used as a ghoulish food supply.

Little or no resistance is left, except for a small elite force known as the "Shinden" (Magnificent Lightning). A tightly knit band of ultra-combat trained military personnel left over from the “Global United Military”, they represent Earth’s last and only defense against the maniacal and deadly enigma "Gekko Shoki".

Tenrai Donryu (Heavenly Thunder Storm Dragon) the leader of the "Gekko Shoki" has issued a death warrant for a defector that has joined forces with the Shinden. Shoki Toryu (Demon Dragon Killer) a once feared and loyal Captain of the Gekko Terror Squads defected after Tenrai Donryu murdered her brother in a horrific battle to take control of New York City. Vowing revenge against Tenrai Donryu, Shoki has teamed up with the Shinden, forming an almost unbeatable alliance.

Ohtori Tsurgui (Phoenix Saber) has been given the task of returning Shoki Toryu's head to the feet of Tenrai Donryu. Although Ohtori has never failed an assignment and has the ability to destroy large well equipped forces single handedly, Shoki is driven by a deeper spirited source of motivation; the death of her brother.

As fate would have it Shoki and Ohtori find themselves face to face in a showdown to the death during a battle for “Facility 68”; a key Gekko experimentation stronghold located in the Alaskan Desert…

Big props to Kid Mesh for providing me with guidance and inspiration for this story:bowdown:

Nice!... the cellshade alone on this is awesome.

You got a great martial art sequence going on there...are you into the arts?

The only crit I could see would be that the feet sort of look as if they are making him slide a wee bit too much which is taking away from giving him the feeling of weight...I know its just a test run so you will proably fix it.

Nice job so far.

looks pretty good so far.

...Working out the bugs, seeing how the characters interact with each other. This is the beginning sequence of my animation, minus SFX, different angles, etc...It's rough and nasty, I know, but I should have all the kinks worked out before showtime;)

320x240, 3.5 sec., .MOV format

Looks like the villan is doing the beginning of the Unified Tai Chi Chuan 42 move form...quickly :)

Starting to look good there man, better get those feet locked down tho!..if not for the animation, that at least for the Tai Chi principal ;)

PS, Great idea, love the characters both...I had allways thought of working a fight sequence that was essentially the 42 or Yang style 37 form, just to see how it works out in a fighting situation :)
good luck, and keep up the good work!

:wise: Ahh, I see...A fellow student of the arts and you are correct about the style my friend...Man, that deadline is approaching faster than I thought it would:D I'd better get crackin'!

07 July 2003, 05:26 PM
 Well the deadline came faster than I think anyone expected, thus I wasn't able to finish exactly what I was working on. Ended up hacking up an earlier animations to get something in...Anyways, here ya go:

Animation Final Submission ( 11.4MB .MOV

I like what I see :D

But for an animation, ther isn't much of animation; IMHO, you pan around a lot, but the characters don't move much
