My webhost is down at the moment... Its a free one and its almost down all the time...:annoyed: well... then i tried another webhost but it didnt allow linking the the img... :annoyed: So i've just uploaded the sketch at CgChallenge  you can go there and check it out! :p ...and come back here with some crits of course..! :D

06 June 2003, 03:58 PM
Well, there are some anatomy issues with your sketch...but, maybe you knew that already? It looks like maybe you're trying to get a foreshortening he's ready to jump off the page. It's not reading that way, yet. Especially the length of his legs(they need to be longer),size of the head, etc. I would try to work those out the best you can before coloring. :wip:
The concept sounds promising! I'll keep an eye on yours

06 June 2003, 04:23 PM
Yes, I'm aware of the anatomy issues... It was just i quick sketch, though  Hehe :p I'll definitely try to make him as correct as possible... Maybe I'll come up with some more sketches of him in different angles :) Anyway, thx for the crits, sheepchase! I'll certanly be keeping an eye, maybe two eyes, on yours too!

06 June 2003, 02:40 PM
he he... those legs are just too funny. :wip: Upper body looks good though.

06 June 2003, 02:53 PM
Hehe... I know :p Going to fix it! Don't worry! :d Actually im working on another sketch with another pose etc...

06 June 2003, 03:43 PM
I've just come to the conclusion, that I hate drawing legs... :annoyed: Just can't get them to look right :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed:

06 June 2003, 03:10 PM
Well, my host is down... again :annoyed: So I just oploaded another img with another pose etc at cgchallenge...

06 June 2003, 05:26 PM
Hmmm. Not bad. I liked the original pose better. If it helps just replace the legs with cylinders to get the perspective right and add the muscles after. Doing that should help you to nail drawing legs.

06 June 2003, 01:05 PM
Hm.. I think u r right :) I actually liked the other one better too... This one seems kind of boring.. I'll go back to the other pose or something like that :p ...something with a bit more action.. :D :buttrock:

06 June 2003, 08:28 PM
I've come up with another sketch  ...but my host i still down...!!! :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: so once again I've just uploaded the img to cgchallenge  :annoyed: The pose is not like the first one as said, but I like this better... :)

06 June 2003, 10:18 PM
new pose is much better. Make the left forearm hand just a little larger and it'll be perfect!

06 June 2003, 09:34 PM
ye! :p I think there is a lot more action in this one! :D what do u think about the hand now, gamoron?Sketch ( Finally found a way to link to the img... just made a htm-doc with nothing more than the img

06 June 2003, 02:31 AM

Hi Jokke,

Well first thing I think you should do is finish your drawing of this winged guy so you have a road map to go by as you paint. Just for starters, for people that don't want to lose the original linework you can open up a new layer and set it to multiply. There's a bunch of other stuff you could do to it but you'll have to experiment and see what works best for you.

good luck:)

06 June 2003, 06:28 PM
