View Full Version : Modo 302 slugish ?

I just bought a new 8 cores workstation with 16 gig ram and a Nvidia 8800 GT video card (WIN XP 64 bit).
I experience really slow OGL performance with Modo 302, especialy when selecting polies and trying to move them around and with some mesh sculpting tools. Does anyone experience the same problem? My mesh is around 67000 polies and It shouldn't be that slow! I have the latest Nvidia drivers for WinXP 64.

Thank you!

Oh, I forgot, the mouse pointer jumps off screen very often when I move a point or an edge, once I release the mouse button the pointer has jumped down my screen. Anoying as I have to move the tool back where I want to keep on tweaking...

Go to system>Preferences>OpenGL and turn VBO to 'off'. With some gfx cards you get better performance with VBO set to 'on' but with others it slows down OpenGL performance.

Isn't Modo only 32 bit? Doesn't this mean that it can't use all that memory, in spite of the 64 bit OS? I know it can use all the cores but is Modo using more than 4 gig of memory?
