Poor poor Biped, seems to have died before he even got the chance to die at the hands of one of us. Well I just ran across these and I'm going to try to get to animating on my own time once again, but I'll probably start at the first week and try to go through all of them if that's cool with yall :D

Was MIA for Siggraph. Ready for week 5!

I dont think there will be a week 5 with the amount of entries going down everyweek.

Consider this one week 5 since there wasnt a single entry in this one yet.

well i am a culprit of not continuing on with the challenges.
started with the jump challenge but just lost a WHOLE load of spare time after i started a new job, so i have literally a few hours ever day to try and animate!

but i will try with this one, starting now...and post what i've done 2morrow or the next day.
hope to see more people start working on theirs soon.

+ if there aren't enough people on here then spread the news and try and get people to join on, i know i will. :D

Hi all,

Just a thought on this, but rather than put up exercises weekly, would it be worth just having a main 'list' of suggested exercises people can try, maybe in some sort of order of difficulty? People could then have a go at them in their own time. I know I have been interested, but to be honest I don't tend to have time to complete one of these in a week, and I would be quite interested in having a go at some of the earlier ones.

Same here, I know what exactly what wibbs is saying, it could be almost like a mini workshop, where you can progress from one to the other. It's just hard getting back involved in a weekly thing if you feel that it might be a little above your abilities or the time you have.

Same here, I know what exactly what wibbs is saying, it could be almost like a mini workshop, where you can progress from one to the other. I really like this idea. But I hope, if this happens, the tasks could be more specific, rather than just generic like "walk" or "run". Perhaps a more complex task plus the characters personality that has to carry it out.

Please don't stop this. I'm new and started this animation.I been wanting to do these however, job hunting and relocating is hard. I started a basic first pass blocking of this but haven't been able to do anything substantial.

08 August 2008, 06:32 AM Its really really rough. I am really losing my poses in the middle I think. I am debating on just rethink the middle portion. I would have more done but even when sketching my ideas out, I get derailed early. The whole part pushing the table just seems unclear so I didn't want to go any further just yet.
