This short will be a fun action sequence following a biker who gets caught up in a madcap chase through the streets of a San Francisco-like city. At different points, the chase involves a trolley, a bike-cop, a yugo, a firetruck, a semi, a scooter, and a kitty cat. (
Sweet biker action pose! (the main character)

Third update 10/17: 25 seconds of draft animation... too detailed, gotta go quicker...

Second update 9/4: I started animatick-ing last night, after building up the set slowly over the last month. Here is a fly-through of the set:

First update 7/29/08: I've been working on this on and off for a year. Finally decided I'd get down to it in earnest a couple weeks ago, and now I have some stuff to show. I've been carrying around the sequence of events for a long time now, so my plan is to rough in the models and rigs and get right to an animatic. With the animatic, I will be able to convince some of my friends to help out with more detailed modeling, texturing, and lighting.

Sketch and 3D draft of the scooter.
3D draft of the big-rig truck.
3D draft of the villain's car, a Yugo-esque compact.
Some draft buildings. Very San Francisco-ey.
Some stuff for set-dressing.
And finally, the unadorned layout of the entire set.

Thanks for taking a look!
And if you can think of a name, I am more than open to suggestion. I'm stumped.

love, hen

Looks great!

I think perhaps the steet layout could do with more hills that feed into flat intersections since its san fran and all.

A fly-through of the set.

Dude that flythrough is f*kn amazing!

I actually felt the potential of an awesome Cartoon World in which every adventure is possible!

I might be raving about a preview, but I feel some serious potential in there.

25 seconds of draft animation. I always go too detailed on the animatic and it slows me down. Gotta just plow on through it!

Thanks a lot shade and Chris!
