View Full Version : How do I fix my jiggly face?

Just wondering what sort of stuff i need to do in order to avoid such jiggly's in my future animations since i design weird little characters?

here's a link to a sample movie:

see BOZZNET's jaw line...it's jiggly.

using LightWave 7.5.

Hate to mention the obvious because I really like your work, but have you tried to add a few hold bones in the chin area?

Hey Policarpo,

Just viewed your animation and that looks pretty sweet, I get the impression you don't have much animation experience (from other threads not cos' of bozznet) at all, is this true ???

If so then motionbuilder is the way to go... and again thats a sweet walkcycle :thumbsup:

I'm a newbie to MB as well and havn't used LW since v3 but...

I know if I set up a character in cinema and don't add some restrictions, the bones in the body can sometimes do things like make the head move about funny. I would at at least weight the body bones to the body and the head bone(s) to the head to check if that is the problem.

PS - Fantastic walk for a first time - congrats!

You must need some extra bones it there to hold the JAW area of your cool character, but since it only looks like u only need 1 weight map, go ahead and make one for the Head :p , itīs simpler to do that than to get extra bones just for it.
