This is a flight cycle that I have been working on. I would appreciate your thoughts on how I can improve it.

Here's the link.

looking cool! I think you've managed to catch the 'up-thrust' of the wings quite well.

A couple of things that might help you out. The motion of the two wings is a little too symetrical, try offsetting one ever so slightly. Be careful not to do it too much, just a frame or so. I'd like to see a little more secondary action from the tail, its a little neither here nor there. Same goes for the feet, having them tucked away, or putting some secondaries on them might help out a lot...

its working well though.

Nice work so far. Like gnikrapon said offsetting the wings will make it more believable. Something else i see missing a lot are arcs. Try give some circular arcs to the body and the wings, now they seem linear to me. I would also add a bit more overlap and more rotations on the wings. Another thing i noticed is the timing of the tail maybe give it a bit more snap to it and try exaggerate it a bit.

Research as much as you can about birds and how they fly and move to improve your work. Here is a link i found that might help you understand the movement of the wings better.

Hope this helps. Nice work this looks very good already. Good luck. Bye

PS i would love to have this rig and experiment with it if you could post a link where you found that would be awesome. Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I will change the things you guys have suggested.

Nucleo, you can download the rig here:

It is modeled by Reed Casey and rigged by Kiel Figgins.
