I know the principles, I just don't know how to link the two together.
What I want to do is paint fuel on a 2d container and use another container emitting temperature in order to ignite. I know everyone seems to know how to do this but I can't find anything but a paid tutorial for 3d tutors on how to do this.
I can ignite fuel being emitted from a box attached to a 2d fluid by selecting the box, then selecting the shape and tell it to emit from object. Then, the emitter that I created when I created the 2d fluid ignites the fuel.
The problem is if I tell the shape to add painted fuel and try to ignite with the emitter that is created with the 2d fluid, it does nothing.
any ideas? I have looked everywhere on the net for this.
