What would you guys recommend the best way to rig up an octopus tentacle would be? Any tutorials on the subject?

EDIT: Not so much anything complex, more like making it move, similar to a tail or a whip where I animate one segment (base or the tip) and the rest dynamically animates...no need for the suction cups or anything else.

ANY help would be greatly greatly appreciated.

So since I have had no replies yet, I'm thinking maybe a spline IK setup? Would that allow me to accomplish what I'm looking to do?

I did one octo-rig few months ago.. The spline ik was the best solution for my needs at that time, i remember i've done also a quick interface with ctrl to drive the motion of pre made set driven keys (for the clusters).. A little tedious but it worked.
