Hi, I am haveing trouble with an IK handle. I am rigging this character's arm. I have 4 joints- the sholder, the elbow, the forearm, and the wrist. I put an IK handle from the sholder to the forearm. then i moved the effector node pivot from the forearm to the wrist so i can control the arm from the wrist. the problem is when i move the IK handle i get weird rotations in the joints; its like the whole wrist rotates and that shouldn't happen.

Can anybody help me with this. does anybody know why this would happen. Is there something about Maya's IK that i just don't know.

Are you pressing 'Ignore All' in the, Modify->Evaluate Nodes menu first? Also, make sure you are moving the pivot of the actual effector. Remember to switch the 'Evaluate All' back on.
