While I can easily get a list of all assets in the current scene (using ATSOps.GetFiles()), I seem not to find a method a.) to determine the file status of a particular entry in the result of that function and more importantly b.) to find out what type of asset that is (.max file, bitmap, point cache etc.).
The Asset Tracking window seems to understand the different file types, as it splits them up nicely into groups.
Do I really have to do that by the file extension or is there something more clever in MAXScript that I missed?
