View Full Version : Character rigging .. Y up X up???

I'm just curious. Is there any known problems if you rigg with the world up axis set to Z instead of the default Y?

Is there some benefit with one or the other, or does it matter at all?

Depends on what you are using or what you are used to.

Some game engines have to have Z up or Y up or whatever.. so you have to do it that way..

The other depends on how you like to rotate things, and what you are used to.

Some people like to rotate say the chest bone side to side in Y others in X, etc..
