Hi people
i'm new in the forums and stumble across this thread and thought it would be a nice place for me to get critique
just bought a wacom recently and have been practicing
most of my works uses artist oil
Corel painter9

here's some of my work
hopefully i could get alot of C&C
as i'm looking foward to improvise my painting :D

here's my recent work
using corel painter 9
title: monkey king's prison
was trying to draw some dungeon in the mid of jungle
well manage to draw the entrance,still trying to find ref for the surrounding

I think that you need to further develop your drawings so people can critique better.
For example , your last work, I'll say the rocks looks flat, but then you are barely starting the painting so of course It would not look so good. (I don't know if I'm expressing myself well...)

Well out of your sketches, I like the first one and the last one from the first post the most, The frist one I think it has a nice concept if you develop it more it will look good, and the last one of the first post looks cool, though you should work more on the hand and the face.

yeah in the process of developing and try to be better at digital paintings
especially using artist's oil
and i personally think my 1st sketch's one of my best work
still touching up that work so it'll look much more better
will post it up when i finish touching up that sketch
still got a long way to go for me
hopefully i'll learn more and improvise my skills through the critiques i got here

I like the concepts but I'm not a fan of the messy, unfinished style. I think you would do well to spend time perfecting your images to better develop your digital painting skills when it comes to the finer details.

now i'm starting to notice where my weakness is
still have a long way to go :D
