View Full Version : Q: spring solver twisting the limbs when character turns

I have this quadruped with ik legs using spring solver. everything is just fine, except if I rotate the whole character from the master, the limbs get twisted, is like they don't rotate at all. I looked into the situation, I tried the Advanced twist controls, but they work like a charm...meaning not working at all.
What do I miss?

I spend whole weekend in studio just figuring out solution for this! ,only problem in the end was.In your joint hierarchy will be coming directly under world_ctr.
Just remove the joint hierarchy and create seperate group for joints and parentConstrain it with world ctr.

check attached file(maya 2008 but tweak header to open up in lower version)

thanks man, it is stable indeed. The only turnoff is that I am very keen on clean structure and this is messing up my hierarchy.

So far looks like is the only solution. Thanks lot.
