Just to let you know I am using the misss_setnormal to connect the bump to the mia material. I've tried using a procedural texture and everything works fine. I've tried it in 2008 and it works. I've even tried a simple white image with a black line on it and that worked.
The outalpha is connect to the bump value and alpha is luminance is turned on.
I've also tried running the image through a rgb to luminance node and then to the bump node and still no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've attached a screen grab of the texture, my network and the attribute editor.
