View Full Version : Urban Moviment

05 May 2008, 03:48 PM
( illustration represent the constant movement present in urban sites. The vibrant colors means life ways...
To create this, mixing 2D & 3D, I used a lot of brushes with Photoshop and Illustrator; -composition and render were made in Lightwave.
I hope you enjoy.

This is very good work!
So what's 3d and what's 2d?

05 May 2008, 01:42 AM
Dear AlZoulou and skAt3f0r71f3,
Thanks for the comments.
SkAt3f0r71f3, about what's 2D and what's 3D, the wall, street, ground, liquid (guy) and arrows are all 3D.
The buildings, sky, front characters are all 2D... 2D? Well, they are 2D square objects with clip map in the 3D space. There are two planar lights, one with raytrace shadows, the second without raytrace, just a "breath" of light.
I don't know if it's clear, and if I can show a WIP screen... If the contest rules permit, I post a print screen of it...
Thanks for the replyes.

If I were really looking for something disrupting my pleasure of viewing this:
maybe that green - yellow - orange arrow on bottom. I think blue - light orange would be better suited.
But still... one of the best.

Hi SkAt3f0r71f3,there is the wiredframe to you understand what is 2D & 3D...

If the contest ended today, I think this would win. It is a great comp, great use of 2D and 3D and most of all, it has style. Nice Fusion!

I'm a newbie here, and I sure will be posted many good jobs until the end of contest.
Many posted works are cool either.

ArekBal, tks your suggestion, that's what I want to hear, to improve my design.
Yes, the comp should be more... "integrated", I think is the word...
But I'd like to do something with different colors, a lightining colors, like
markers (pen) with a self light..

Great work Pedro! This is definitely one of my favorite pieces entered in the competetion so far. I love the blend of 2d and 3d because it actually feels like they're fused together. It really makes me want to listen to more old-school hip hop and breakdance! :) keep up the good work.

Thank you Dogaweb.

-Te vejo no próximo!! T+
