View Full Version : particle instanceing animated geometry problem

Hello All,

I am trying to create a filed of flowers blooming. They however should not all be blooming at once. I am trying to instance an animation of a flower geometry to particles that are emited progressively ove rthe surface of a field. Unfortunately I have been unable to find a parameter that controls the per particle current time of the particles, so that they can pop up and bloom one by one.

Anyone know the solution? I am sure that it is something simple that I have overlooked. Any help is much appreciated.

Create a custom attribute on your particles and call it whatever......

will do. On creation write ...

"custIndex = 0;".

At runtime write ...

if (custIndex<10)

I havent tried this so I hope it works! lol

Then plug your custIndex into your object index on your instancer. Make sure cycle none was selected when you created your instncer. Replace the condition "10" with the number of objects in your animation.
