View Full Version : DF is new to me, which tools for dustbusting?

Ive allways worked with AE. But now I am working on a film project and heard that fusion was better in this. So i am experimenting a little in DF. I need to do some dust busting and scratch removing from 2k scans of 35mm. Which tools do I best use for this in Digital fusion? Or do I need a plug in?

Depending on the severity of the dust and scratches, working with a paint node in clone multi-stroke would be the best bet for very short temporal issues. If you have something a little more permanent over multiple frames, a paint set to a regular stroke and animated can help.

Lumakey the scratches then use that mask on a Bol that pulls the maximum with an offset image, either temporal or spatial.
