View Full Version : Controlling the Pole Vector of an Ik with another object?

I am not so much of an experienced rigger so I will ask a somewhat simple question.
I am currently working on my "standard somewhat-perfect rig" and I've come across a little problem. How do I setup my rig so that the pole vector of my IK chain (used to drive my character's arm) rotates automatically when I move "some driver" (a letter, a small cube or something). I mean, the pole vector should always point to the driver's direction.
I saw a .MB file downloaded from digital tutors but I didn't found the connection anywhere :drool:
I've tried using constraints and the connection editor and I've had no luck :annoyed: :shrug:
Anyone willing to help :wavey:

Did you try Constrain>Pole Vector to a object? I think that what most people do.
