Ok, so here we go again.
This challenge is a bit more complex than the previous ones, as you will be creating a realistic eye setup

1 eye model, and 3 different resolution sockets..low, med and insane

you job is to rig the eye and get realistic motion around the socket..so up/down motion, everything.

the different resolutions are so you can do it on the med res if you want and then use a displacement (NOT A NORMAL MAP, MUST BE DISPLACED) to the high res

The objs don`t seem to be powers of each other face count wise. So is it part of the challenge to create decent displacement maps for them anyway?

they should be, they were all created and exported from mudBox

One thing I forgot to mention, you are allowed to recreate the Eye Geo itself, but not the faces.

I re-downloaded the file, but still the medium face count doesn`t seem to be a power of the low res. There seems to be a face missing on the nose. Please check the image
I tried to load the high res onto the medium res in zbrush, but that didn`t work so far : (
Any hints ? TIA
EDIT: I don`t have access to mudbox, so I can not check it there

or you can fix it yourselves, as every package has a way to patch a polygon

Means v just have 2 rig the eyes right??
n v have to set driven keys for up/down movement in eyes m i right??
bcoz i also wan to participate in this challenge...
and what's the time-limit can u tell me?

challenge is open till the end of June.
you can rig it how ever you want to get the job done
speed of user interaction is not an issue.

n can i post my work???if yes then where??over here only or in WIP thread??
n also at the end we just have to submit video of the eyes that hows it functioning or we also have to show the video that how we made that rig??

Can we delete the faces in the back of the eye and make a socket hole? Also I see that the model is not symmetric. Is it a part of challenge or we have to just deal with it?

you can do what you have to to make it work, other than changing the topology of the model

I think if the winners get's first page anounce.. there will be a lot, a lot more people participating in this challenge :)
