View Full Version : Wrapping an object onto another

Hey all,

What I need to do is wrap an object onto another so that it moves with the master objects vertices. Secondly, the target object should not change it's form.

What i mean is that i need something exactly like the Deform>Shrink Wrap deformation without the object conforming to the master objects shape. (Like the Skin wrap modifier in Max). i'm new to XSI so sorry if this is a stupid question.

sounds like what you want is select the deformable object and click deform>by cage then pick the object that will be the deformer.

it will stay as it's and change the form based on the cage you pick.

is that it ?

I think Kim Aldis also had a plugin that would do something like this. Check his site and see if there's something useful.

Kim wrote a UVspace deformer.
Cage is exactly what he was talking about in this case :)
