View Full Version : Looking for a step by step workflow on how to make "decalmaps" for use in 3dsMAX

Hi all :),

I know this probably is a very newbie-question. But I'm not that familiar to PS (yet:cry: ). I use to work with 3dsMAX and when I'm texturing a model, I often use "decals" for names on ships (cars, airplanes,..), logo's of compagnies etc. There for I need an Alphamap of the original image wich I use as a mask in MAX. I really would like to be able of making this kind of maps myself. So I wonder.. is there anyone out there who would like to share his/hers workflow on how to make such a maps within PS CS3? Cause of my very little knowledge of PS it would be great if someone would like to take the time for sharing a little step-by-step?
