Very Nice - great look and feel, especially the texturing.
Are you going to animate it?
05 May 2003, 11:43 AM
very good! but the eye are little weired.. one is too open, and the second is too close..
and one more thing, that thing behind her, it's look like a ship,
but it's in the air.. what is it?

05 May 2003, 11:01 PM
Thanks all :)
TOBER > Are you going to animate it?
No, I do not want to make animation. I just can't do it and I prefer to make simple illustration. On the other hand I always model for a possible animation.
R.L.M > and one more thing, that thing behind her, it's look like a ship,
but it's in the air.. what is it?
The ships are cargo liners antigrav. That enables them to be faster,
to escape the mines, not to have a watery accoustic signature.
It is a parallel universe where water covers 90 % of the surface of the planet. The battle takes place on water to conquer the sea routes.
In foreground, Kapitan is in an escort submarine.
Rayz > nice ...... is this 3d or 2d or both?
It is 3d and 2D, it is very significant for me to have a work on the image with compositing.
05 May 2003, 11:16 PM
YEAH! That ROCKS!!!! FINALLY something with some real creativity to it, not just another "babe" or set of boobs.
Inspired by the Honor Harrington series at all?
MORE of that world you've created would be GREAT! You get my first official :buttrock: :buttrock: ever!
Just right clicked and popped this into my inspirations folder.
05 May 2003, 11:36 PM
christ....that rules. I just looked at your website and it rocked my bitch ass world!!
word to yo momma!:bounce:
05 May 2003, 12:39 AM
Fantastic Xavier...........It's nice to see your pirate has a "new girl" to play with, or is Morticia already his love........ ;) :)
I love the ambiant feel/look to the scene, the color tones and 3D /2D mix are very nice.Well done from modeling to textures. But most important is the overall vision and style. Two thumbs up from me,I look forward to more from your World of 90% water, very nice art indeed.
05 May 2003, 01:04 AM
there is a very hot light coming over her left shoulder. It's not shining into the water or the rest of the ship so it must be a point source close to her. In that case, i would expect to see her cast a sharp shadow somewhere, not the soft shadowing we see.
Otherwise, it looks like beautiful work. Nice atmosphere
05 May 2003, 05:33 AM
Front page sometime soon? I like this more than many things that have made front page before.... not to mention there are also alot of posts that surpass gallery picks, yet they still don't even make the gallery. Whatup wit that?
05 May 2003, 06:48 AM
Wow lov the style of this image.Well done:bounce:
05 May 2003, 07:55 AM
Great works, that make me mad, and i want to do better... But it's not yet ready...
05 May 2003, 08:05 AM
omg .... :surprised
05 May 2003, 08:09 AM
Wow, that is really excellent work. Man, you nailed it. So very very cool. A 10!:applause:
05 May 2003, 08:16 AM
I love the character, and the flying merchant ships. Great composition, too. I guess I'm just a little surprised she has no cleavage(!) Something wrong? Don't like cleavage? What you got against cleavage, man?!? Re-edit the model with large breast and cleavage; high specularity, add some glossyness (mmm yeah). Then it will be complete...
05 May 2003, 08:18 AM
Great work! But I think she looks a little too blue in the face pherhaps. When you compare it to the red color in her eyes and on her lips it looks as if her skin is blue, and it's not just the lighting... But maybe it's just me? Anyways, I think the model looks great and the overall feel of the picture is very nice!
05 May 2003, 08:47 AM
very cool indeed, good sense of atmosphere!!!
05 May 2003, 11:03 AM
 grrrreat stuff. love the render quality and that ship floating in the background... way to go....
05 May 2003, 11:12 AM
A real work of art!
05 May 2003, 01:48 PM
wow! awesome composition! Very nice lighting and setting!!
05 May 2003, 01:52 PM
lol yeah, i agree with all above :applause:
I only can't figure out what the heck is flying in the air :surprised
05 May 2003, 01:53 PM
Is it possible to see the rendering before getting in a 2D program?
I really like the the ways you manage the rain texture!

05 May 2003, 02:19 PM
05 May 2003, 02:24 PM
dude... exellent work.

Virtuoso > Thx Virtu for ur encouragment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Recycle_Me > he he ;)
Clave > TTTTTTTHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAANNNNKS A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT !!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
ZVAN > i use maya (modeling), max and vray to render.
05 May 2003, 02:12 AM
Not an original piece of praise from me, but had to throw in my hat as well: love your composition! The image has a real dramatic/expressive feel to it -- the kind of image you can stare at for a long time and still enjoy finding details.
05 May 2003, 03:38 AM
excellent job. maybe one day i will be able to model like you pro's
05 May 2003, 08:33 PM

My only complaint is that the texture on the railing is the same as on the platform she stands on...
But It's minor, the model and the atmoshpere are great
