This is the concept iI have bubbling around in my head. Aliens come to this place of ruin and change it to be more suitable for them to co-exist with whatever used to reside there.

The landescape design reminds me of a maze, maybe you could design things with that type of thinking to make them all fit in.

well this is really, like a couple of hours of freetime i spent boxing this out, the textures, lighting and whatnot are not final by no means, i'm aiming for a look similar to the ruins of Machu Picchu, the indian ruins on top of the mountains in peru inspired me, generations passed by them unnoticing but yeah it does look like a maze

Cool concept. If you can change the angle a little bit, maybe down into the village's view, you could show a market place or anything else for that matter. Good work.

Just to let people know what's going on with this image, Aliens come to ruins similar to machu picchu and technologically advance it. The old roads are boxed in the terrain those will change, the saucer is textured for the most part, The walls on the plateau's below the saucer are in place for the futuristic side as well you may notice the giant tuning fork or as their civilization might use it as a dual channel lightning rod. there is a house added and a tiki torch other than that i've been preparing the geometry in place so i can throw foliage over it.
I have alot of texture work ahead of me in this project i'm thrilled that my freetime has been plentiful these past couple weeks. really look forward to hearing your critiques and comments.
Also i got rid of the first sky background i was using it wasn't working for me and looked more surreal than waht i am aiming for.
