I searched the forum and did not find an answer or a question....if I missed it I apologize.

What would be the best way to make use of a glow map in xsi? I am using 6.5

What exactly do you mean with glow map??
Could you explain what software you use as well and what you're trying to ?

A glow map is used to simulate a glow over certain parts of a model instead of applying a glow effect to a material. I have seen dominance war contestants using this technique. I know in Maya you can connect the map to the incandesance node and it will work. I tried this in xsi and I have not gotten any results. Which means I am either not connecting the map properly or I have not created the map properly. I am using xsi 6.5, Zbrush 3.1 and Photoshop CS2.
Any help would be appreciated.

Plug your glow colour into the incandesence and then you need a black and white image going into the inc_inten.
