I'm pretty sure Max was in their pipeline from when I poked my head into a talk one of the guys was doing at 3December a year or so ago.

04 April 2008, 12:00 PM
All the film is done in Max and rendered with an inhouse renderer.
Maya and Houdini are used for some Fx stuff, but the Pipeline is Max centric.

I am glad you guys like it even though so little is show in the video.:)

04 April 2008, 01:16 PM
I think you guys did a great job on the film, especially since it's your first feature! Would love to know more about the proprietary renderer you guys are using, especially since back then, there were rumors that Ilion was using Arnold.

Here we go... :banghead:

Looks great from what I've seen, is the original lipsync being done in English or Spanish?

04 April 2008, 04:22 PM
Hi guys!, first of all thanks Pako for the other links ;-) and thanks for take me in your car everyday to go to the studio, jajajajaja!

About the render itīs Cyclops, property and developed in the studio, but I think his father was Arnold. Iīm not the best for talking about that, Iīm only one of the animators team as Pako, so my information itīs limited, sorry guys! The only I can tell you is that the render itīs amazing, and the lighting team, shading, modelling, etc... are done a very great work with this in the film, we hope the studio shows something in HD quality, but we donīt know when, so be patient my friends...

And about lipsync all are in english, you read more about the feature voices for the film here:

Have a nice weekend!

Great work guys!

..when's the European release date?

04 April 2008, 10:58 AM
Hi again!

Well about the release date, I think itīs at the middle of 2009, but Iīm not pure sure because in the sneak a peak the narrator say that the film arrive in christmas 2009, maybe heīs talking about the release in Spain, so the date itīs opened I think, but itīs in the next year sure.
Have a nice week!

Hi guys,
really nice stuff, really impressed.

04 April 2008, 11:09 PM
Welcome to the team! :applause:, I am sure you will love the city.;)

04 April 2008, 11:13 PM
EDIT: Carlovfx's comments zapped :)

Congrats on the move!

...London ain't that bad is it?

04 April 2008, 11:45 AM
Tnx man,
btw i edited the post because i am quite a private person and often i don't like people knowing where i'm moving for the next job :D

London is a horrible city if you come from places like Italy, it's wonderful as tourist but when you have seen everything it's damn boring. Luckly there are my PS3 and Xbox360 to entertain me ;)

When i've been in Ilion for the interview everyone passing in front of me was saying "holla", really nice, that means that people is really friendly :applause:

I decided to accept the offer from Madrid even if i had better offers from London and Singapore because i think that what you are doing in that company is truly amazing and i really believe that in some years Europe will be the new USA for this kind of business.

Compliments again.
