View Full Version : Maya 5: Mental Ray crashing when using physical lens dof

Hey all, when I use the Physical_lens_dof as a output shader for my camera and rendering using Mental Ray Maya crashes, it doesn't say anything, just bang down to desktop, anyone else experienced this problem?

Are there anywork arounds for this problem?

Are you using it in the 'Output Shader' slot or the 'Lens Shader' slot? Because it goes in the Lens Shader one.

Also, do you know that the 'Plane' value has to be a negative number? Ie if the distance to the "in focus" object is 15, you need to type in -15.

It works fine for me anyway. :shrug:
