View Full Version : Binding a new object to skin.

Hi there computer fanatics, I have a little newbie Maya question here. How in gods name do you bind a new object to a already made smooth skin using the relationship editor? I tried selecting all the deformation sets and selecting my new object for deformation but that did not work... Hope you can help!

what exactly are you trying to do ..... there may be an easier way to go about it. If you are trying to add a object to a skeleton that already has a mesh skinned to it just bind the object to the nearest joint.... I'm not sure if answers your question but I'm unsure of what you're trying to achieve.

Ok, the trick was to bind using a selected joint or joints and not the hole skeleton. Thanks for your replie kmp3d! :thumbsup:
