Thank you, I love your art (I visited your portfolio) and would appreciate it if you could give me some tips/comments whenever I post any art of mine. Since I don't have a formal education in art (my primary skill is programming), it would be very useful to me.

Regarding Gimp (, I find it to my liking because it's easy to use and best of all: Free.
For me the latter is very important as commercial software (e.g. Photoshop) are too expensive for my pocket. :)

TO ThePaladin:

Thank you for your support. ....: ) And I'm so glad to give tips to you. It's my pleasure.:)

I recommend you a great sketch mini software that I really love ----Alchemy.
Here is the website: (
Ir's free. And the most important. It's too great and fantastic. You need to have a try. :D

And the most time I use painter . I can't say for sure about how I work. I began to paint digital work one or two years ago just in space-time . Thus,I'm just a fresher too.

There are so many free tips on the net. For instance, You could go to the master Linda Bergkvist 's website to watch her tutorial. (
It's awesome and really useful. Those make me progress a lot.

About "I don't have a formal education in art " …

.So do I. :D I'm a student major in Lighting Desgin.(Not in the computer, but in Stage or movie)
We don't have painting class too. my profession ... almost like a electrician. haha . I 'm really a hobbyist in Art and CG.....I always paint when I was free…I’m loving it.

So we are the same.. haha .There’s a great word said that if you work hard, and put your nose to the grindstone, your hard work will eventually pay off.

Best wishes to you.

and,..Feel free to send PMs to me if you want any help.
