03 March 2008, 08:05 PM
refining the body-armour... I will made a soft-plastic looking armour, When I will choose the final texturing I will decide colours etc...
03 March 2008, 06:13 PM
refining the "soft-armour"... test colours to see wich parts will have diferents colors.
03 March 2008, 06:24 PM
Very cool! I've decided to concentrate on 2d but sometimes when I see 3d grafics I get really tempted... well maybe one day :)
Can't wait to see more...
03 March 2008, 06:56 PM
I think the final image "if I have time to finish" will be composed by 2d and 3D... as I don´t believe to made a post animation or something like that later...
03 March 2008, 07:21 PM
i like the design of his body suit .. one crit tho about the colors .. maybe you could make his suit darker something like dark grey with some small lights in them while keeping the same design .. you are not finshed tho maybe you have greater plans .. keep it up
03 March 2008, 07:27 PM
Very good 3D !
I like this design style!..
I am eager to see more !!
04 April 2008, 08:25 PM
Refining the armour... colors are not the final ones... stay tuned ;)
04 April 2008, 09:20 PM
A light test to see how look like details with a basic ilumination.
04 April 2008, 05:58 PM
finishing the armour, adding helmet, perhaps a cristal-peak on the helmet... will see
04 April 2008, 08:32 PM
2º concept for the other pilot-character, it will be some kind of lion-specie...
04 April 2008, 06:36 AM
Wow! Luv your work, outstanding! Great selection for the concept, and it's already very eye-catching! Great style, great skill! :D
04 April 2008, 07:34 PM

04 April 2008, 08:04 AM
Hey this is really nice work. Your suit design is excellent. I really like your concept for the illustration too - it has a wonderful 'classic sci fi' feel about it
04 April 2008, 01:07 PM
thanks, Hope to start today the entire body + armour...
04 April 2008, 09:33 AM
starting the lyon-specie body, I will not refine the chest as you can see, later I will add a armour on top.. of the chest.
04 April 2008, 09:43 PM
some update on the lyon-body
04 April 2008, 01:11 PM
looking good keep going :wip:
04 April 2008, 06:32 PM
I start to skin the 2 pilots... before texturing and lightning.. or it was lightning and texturing and skinning..mm...
04 April 2008, 06:49 PM
scene pose, I will have to adjust the weights etc of the skinning... just to have a look to what look like the final image..
04 April 2008, 07:01 PM
Looks great already! Can't wait to see the final version :) Love your style!
04 April 2008, 06:10 AM
I didn't see your entry before... damn I love it! Really nice style on the characters and of course the modeling is perfect! Keep the good work, I'm sure it will be a awesome final image!
Good luck! :bounce:
04 April 2008, 06:58 AM
luv the modelling...
04 April 2008, 11:58 AM
Great modeling, i love the style of your characters, they work very well together.
04 April 2008, 02:15 PM
First time here!...what a beautiful modeling style! im amazed!
It is both cartoony and realistic. beautiful...truly beautiful.
now im curious about the final composite...because the character poses are so well done...is a very promising image.
04 April 2008, 06:13 PM
adding details to the ship... armchair etc
04 April 2008, 06:25 PM
Great modelling skills. Love the harmony of the setup. You could make even more dramatic angle on this one I think. Play a little with different angles.
04 April 2008, 06:56 PM
Hey Stéphane, really nice concept, great characters and awesome models, cool!! , love the design used, great!! Awesome work! and looking forward for more updates !! Cheers!! :D
04 April 2008, 07:15 PM
Really nice entry characters framing and all.
My only minor crit is maybe the lion's hips and bum sitting position seems a little awkward on camera imho. It's just a little twist and turn that could make all the difference?
He doesn't seem to be sitting very naturally.
04 April 2008, 10:00 AM
thanks guys... I will upload a updated detailed scene later... I made a fast render with a unique color to see whats are the details who work bad or better...
Spin99: you´re right I will change the pose of the legs, because the actual lyon-legs doesn´t match very well.. but as I say before its not the final scene... stay tunned
04 April 2008, 05:11 PM
more details added... next, fix the poses... add some more props and work textures and backround.
04 April 2008, 11:42 AM
Cool comme d'hab ! :bowdown::cry:
04 April 2008, 08:36 PM
I will adjust colors later, for the moment I only add a unique-tone to see how work the image, i will work the final image in photoshop. next step will be the backround...
04 April 2008, 09:07 PM
Very nice. You have a very fun style. Great job on the ship very sleak.
04 April 2008, 08:31 AM
Starting the backround, I will put a saturn-style planet, I render the alfa channel as I will place this planet on a layer and play with it in photoshop...
04 April 2008, 07:38 AM
The ship that I will put in the backround, this is the last 3d modeling, next is composing all elements in photoshop... and paint over the image, perhaps some furs on the lyon...
04 April 2008, 08:25 AM
Composing layers in photoshop... now I will add clouds, light effects, the pad that wear the lyon will show a hologram, etc... I don´t know yet if I will let the image at full color or add a global tone... next image will be the "final image".
04 April 2008, 09:53 AM
Great work, Stephane!! Love the models of the characters and the ship. Great expression on the human's face.
04 April 2008, 04:59 PM
My final image... Good luck to everybody.. cheers
04 April 2008, 05:59 PM
awesome modeling as usual , why wip image have color ,but your final are in monochrome?
04 April 2008, 06:07 PM
Awesome work, Stephane! But somehow I'm puzzled why it's monochromatic? Maybe you should try some different versions? But maybe you have your reasons.
04 April 2008, 06:28 PM
Congratulations on your final image, i realy enjoyed your inspiring thread. Good luck.
04 April 2008, 07:25 PM
Congratulations on finishing up the piece! It is really neat! Really daring choice to make it monochromatic, yet very visually pleasant and stands out from other works. The Best of luck! :)
04 April 2008, 06:48 AM
The monocromatic match the first idea I have, as my concept... I made some test and finally decide to let the image with that tone... I also try in black&white... but choose this tone. cheers to eveybody...
04 April 2008, 01:28 PM
congratulations dude! :bounce: very well done! :p i especially love the ship design! rockin man! :buttrock: .. plus, looks like you beat me to the monochromatic look :D
even i'm trying to get a single colour tone that will be less saturated :D
all the best dude!
04 April 2008, 03:49 PM
Congrats on the final image! Love the modeling and the render. Interesting colors on the final image; it almost looks like a sepia type effect. Well done, and props on originality with the color palette.
05 May 2008, 11:16 AM
final image.. adjusting tones... the last one.
05 May 2008, 06:05 PM
Very nice models :) Especially the lion looks fabulous. The monochromatic look sure is a surprising move. I think I would have gone with a fully colored version.
Good luck with it :)
05 May 2008, 03:26 PM
