I want to animate some telegraph poles falling down. The problem is I want to animate all the cables falling and I guess in some situations snapping. What would be the best approach to do this. I've been reading up on different dynamics in Maya and I'm still confused in which is the best option to use. Obviously rigid bodies for the poles, but what do I do for the cables, soft bodies, cloth, hair?
I've also got the added problem in that what ever simulation I go with need to have a way of converting that information into joints.
