This is my final submission for the
Nvidia Art Space: Architecture and Landscape Contest.
The Picture is specially made for this contest.
It took me all in all about 25 hours and was made in the last month.
I want to give a view how the world could change
if a biogenic accident would cause all vegetation grow faster
and on the same time kills all humans
so there is no one on earth left to stop the force of Nature.
The Picture is taken directly from cryengine2.
I rendered it in double resolution and broke it down to avoid antialaising.
There is no Photoshop repaint done.
The model is done in 3D Studio MAX.
Polycount is 48969 triangles which is 2,9 MB Mesh Data.
All textures are made in Photoshop from Photos that I took in Frankfurt.
The Total texture memory is 24 MB.
For the screenshot I had all textures in a 1024*1024 resolution.
To run it in game it would still look ok with 512*512 textures
which would bring a total texture memory of 6 MB.
But for this Picture the total memory is 26,9 MB.
On my machine the scene runs with 72 FPS on a Dual core 3GB
with 4 GB RAM and a good graphic card :)
