View Full Version : Biped Anim Onto Bones

Do you know of a way to get biped info [animation] onto bones?

Be it bones in MAX or Maya?

[Preferably without the use of expensive scene converters and the like-and preferably in Maya-but I can get infor from MAX bones to Maya bones easy enough]

Is there a MAX script that can do that? I know I could script something like that in MEL.

Thanks for your time.

all you need is the fbx import/exportplugin from will find it on in the support section.
just export the biped as fbx and import the fbx in a new scene.
skinning is not supported, but you can export the biped without animation in the figure mode and save a physique file, witch can be used to skin the imported character.
the only problem:
the imported bones are the old ones from max 3 (if you dont need the new ik, itīs not a real problem)

this could also work in maya (I am not shure...)
