Is Batch rendering better?
Is it faster?
Is it better to see the render as it happens?

Just curious.

hey Tony,

Batch rendering is better I think. It definately conserves a little on the memory since you don't have to run the interface. I would say overall, it's definately a little quicker. For ultimate control over XSI and Si3D batch renders, check out the Render Server by a company called MOTION ( This app will run all XSI/Si3D renders as well as .mi files and will manage rayhosting.

hey...I'm glad other folks out there are using RS. Holger over at MOTION did a great job writing it. I've been giving him feedback for a year now and its amazing how fast the app has evolved since then. We love it. We do so much volume here that we are constantly rendering 24/7. It would be too much for me to manage without it. If you have any questions or need and tips, just ask......I know it like the back of my hand :)
