View Full Version : staggered effects in one system

I'm pretty sure this has to be possible i just dont see how it works.

this is what i intentd to do:

1)birth 124 particles at a random rate over 300 frames
2)position those particles randomly in world space.
3)when they have reached their intended position, pause for a a few seconds
4)move my particles into a grid formation(18x8)

Is it possible to do this all in one system and how might i think about setting it up?

i am baffled

What you want to do is use a script operator to store the position you want the particles to end in using the vector channel, then set your flow up and add a find target operator and choose vector channel as the target rather than the find target icon.
Have a look on Allan McKay's site, there is definitley a tutorial on it, cant remember which one though. sorry!
