Hey everyone :)

A bit of a late start for me, and I've never really posted much on CGTalk / CGSociety, but I figured that if I can find a little bit of free time, I should give this contest a shot. So here is a little bit of a start for me. Just some inspirational ideas. I think that I would like to go darker though for this theme. Not sure about the character class or anything like that yet, but anywho... Talk to all of you later!

Awesome design so far, I really like the fairy look! Can't wait to see more!

Looks great, I really like the sketch on the far left.

02-26-2008, 01:10 AM
nice clean sketching!Really cool!Wanne see more :P
Happy war!

02-26-2008, 01:17 AM
Cool character. I really like the one on the left too. The others just seem like a generic fairy with strange ears. The one with six wings could be cool, but I like the leaf design you have going on.

Only one post and really impressive work. Love the dinamics poses, concept and ejecution.

02-26-2008, 09:48 AM
wow impressive!

02-26-2008, 03:26 PM
Thanks everyone! I really appreciate all the kind comments. I'll post some more stuff soon. I still have to decide what class I'm going to do :)

Your figures have great gesture and feel very animated.
The hands and feet on the far left sketch are awesome! :buttrock:
Can't wait to see more of your art.

Your sketches are very cute, Another cute girl character joins the Dominance War! I look forward to seeing her fleshed out a bit more. Let us know what your thoughts are about an Artifact and class! Good luck, I'll be watching for sure!!!

02-27-2008, 06:48 AM
Your style, poses, cleaness, and quality of feminine form are fannnnntastic! Can't wait to see more!

02-28-2008, 08:57 AM

cool. cliche.
but whatever. nice lines.

02-28-2008, 09:18 AM
Is she going to be small in scale? Like super annoying but magically powerful? Or will she be kinda big and physically powerful? Guess that stuff might get answered while you decide what class and stuff. I like it so far though, more more!

02-29-2008, 12:02 AM
Thanks for all the comments everyone.

Another drawing. I'm most likely going to move away from the fairy thing, and like I said above, try something a bit darker. Here's another inspiration. I feel like I'd like to change all the leafy shapes into feathers, and maybe make the face a tiny bit more animalistic (less human features or something). I'll post again when I get some time to do something. Hopefully I'll have a class chosen by then.

02-29-2008, 03:36 PM
Wow! I'm digging your concept! Fantastic! Can't wait to see more updates!!!

02-29-2008, 06:28 PM
Dude, I'm digging your style. What're you using/what' s your process for these sketches?
(i.e. mechanical pencil over blue line, etc.)
My only note for the design would be to have some grounding detail pieces, like belts, straps, necklace, knife in sheath, combat webbing, etc. Whip out a DK book and go to town! Well, that's my 2 cents. :p

Cool designs so far! I'm curious to see what your artifact will be and how you do the color treatment. Hope you'll have anough time with other stuff going on for you - this is looking great so far!

02-29-2008, 08:18 PM
I totally love your style, the last one is the one I like the most

02-29-2008, 10:04 PM
Do you draw with a tablet or are those penciled then scanned?

03-02-2008, 06:15 AM

She has an attractive figure,so charming:love:

03-02-2008, 11:23 AM

03-02-2008, 01:56 PM
I love this character, the concept is awesome and she's smokin' to boot. I really like your style. Like ravenslayer says make sure you give her a kickass weapon.

03-04-2008, 03:12 PM
Thanks for all the crits and comments guys. Hopefully I'll be able to do some work on this soon. I have so much stuff going on..... blah.... I have a great new idea about the direction and the weapon.

nymbis - Penciled and then scanned in. I mainly use my tablet strictly for painting.

03-05-2008, 12:22 AM
Hey YoYo! I dont know if you are changing to more dark. If you were sticking with the fairy then you could have a seed with magical powers that makes things grow.

03-05-2008, 08:39 PM
really like the haircut and posing,
more !

03-06-2008, 01:27 AM
