hello everyone, here are some of my concepts so far. Definately a warlord, i think his artifact will be kept in the elbow area of his overgrown arm so he can use it's power through his "shank" like weapon. I'll be adding on armor and doing several more variations before i start modeling. Let me know if there are any others you'd think are worth developing more. enjoy!

If you're looking for help chosing from the cocepts you have, I like 22, 29 and 19. Going by your silhouettes, those stood out to me first. I like 15 also, though in a creeping me out kind of way.

You have planty to chose from, and all seem pretty solid, to me.

I can't believe digitalsmithy wasn't taken already. Nice grab.

here's a little sculpt i did to see how this guys head would translate to 3D, i think i'm going to push for a more evil and sinister feel. thanks for the replies guys i'll definately consider doing some more variations of some other types. go CG!

I like that he looks like he could potentially be a big Teddy Bear. However, if your feeling the evil sinister look, you should go with it.

Hey Vince,

Awesome to see you here in the comp. Good luck and good hunting, I know your work is killer so you should trash a lot of folks.

I like 13, and 29 the most. The feeling behind them is strong, the sollohuette of 29 being particularly evil.

also, the beastly look of 23 could be a lot of fun.

I'm digging the second from the left. It has a sort of Evil Dead/ Army of Darkness (GRooVY...brrommmmBRAAAUUUUUMMM) Chainsaw-for an-arm feel and i like the snub blade. The one on the right has a sleek organic feel that fits the char as well.

I like the belly chainmail, but the cap seems a little strange. maybe a mail coif instead?

Nice work really differnt love the gas masks and the merged weapons with limbs , really good.
I personally think out of your latest works I think not having a second weapon looks best because it tends to split my attetion and I want the maximum amount of drooling time over that blade.

I like the new direction. Far more formidable. As far as a second weapon, I think that's cool (maximum killing potential), and I think the middle bottom looks the most fitting. The Morning Star lends itself to a dangerous sillouhette, and it seems to look the most right among them all, with the one just to the left a close second...

here are some of my more final concepts(at the bottom) and i also included some of my eariler ideas that i was trying out. I think i'm gonna lose the gas mask, it seems i would have to include more real-world like armor/accessories to tie it in. I'm still exploring a secondary weapon too, feel free to let me hear any ideas you may have:) GO CG!

I know you have decided to drop the gas mask but I love that horned concept you got there! He feels alot more significant than the lower concepts he looks more like a genreal and they look more like foot soldiers ;)

The new direction is great- the jawless look is horrid. I'm really feeling the grandiose horned version- he has the look that says he lays waste to whatever part of the battlefield he's on, kinda like Sauron swatting whole ranks aside with his blows.

so here's what i got so far, going a little slower than i wanted but i'm gonna try to bust out a nice amount this weekend. I went w/ the hovering demonic look because it's something i don't generally do. I'm thinking he will have an overall organic feel, where skin meets rock and lava. I'm also still undecided about him having a secondary weapon, nothing seems proper so far. I'm interested in your opinion reguarding the size of his shank/sword arm. I'd like to go extreme but it doesn't seem quite right yet, throw me some ideas!:)

The hovering thing works. It always lends a certain menace to a creature I think.

I like the one with the mask. But he really is a little bit more original without it, so, there is the question. But in the end, it's a really nice concept. Good Luck.
