My company would like to evaluate Messiah and I have a simple question. Is there a way
to key all controls for a character (or a group of defined controls) with the click of 1 button,
Is this built into messiah or something that needs to be tackled by more complex means.

You can create any kind of groups you want. Messiah will respect group settings and keyframe group settings when you use as long as you controllers are keyable objects. Messiah groups are more intuitive than Maya character groups btw.

It is built into messiah and you can do it in several ways. One is to make a group of all items that belong to that character. Then you can just hit enter on any given frame to make keys for every item that belongs to that group. ( make sure you have that group selected in the upper left corner of the graph editor )

Or you can parent all of the items to a Null and make keys for all items that belong to that hierarchy.
